Jump Start (initial training)
Flexible, customised programme delivered by personal tutors on a one-to-one basis aimed at overcoming barriers to moving on to further education, training, or employment. Literacy and numeracy are key elements of the programme. Examples of other components may include: confidence building; decision making and setting future goals; managing difficulties such as dyslexia.
Way to Work (prevocational training)
Creative, person-centred programme involving individual and group work focussed on putting in place a range of skills and attributes for employment such as reliability, motivation, problem solving, health and hygiene, and interpersonal skills, alongside job search, CV preparation, interview and other related skills. The programme also features the use of work tasters and placements leading to voluntary work, mainstream programmes or employment.
