NEW - A Learning Culture for the CLD (Community Learning and Development) Sector in Scotland

Consultation launched online by the CLD Standards Council for Scotland, the body responsible for the registration of CLD practitioners, the approval of training courses, and the continuing professional development of the sector workforce.  For more information go HERE

Consultation on revised national guidance on child protection

The Scottish Government is consulting on revised guidance on child protection  The revised Guidance  reflects a changed and changing landscape; including a commitment to working in partnership with practitioners across the child protection sector to best support local practice at national level. Scotland’s Commissioner for Children and Young People

is consulting with children and young people through 2010 on his priorities. A resources and guidance section gives links to ‘Rights Resource Packs’ for work with children aged 11 and under, and for over 12s.  Go HERE

Review of teacher education in Scotland

The Review is now underway, led by Graham Donaldson. The Review Team are keen to engage with the interested parties as extensively as possible. The Review's remit is to consider the best arrangements for the full continuum of teacher education in Scotland and to consider initial teacher education, induction and professional development and the interaction between them.
