New Start Project

The New Start Project aims to make The Duke of Edinburgh's Award accessible to young people who are considered to be at risk of offending. Although not all young people who are disengaged from school are involved in offending it is a risk factor, which enables the project to work with these young people. We work with alternative and flexible curriculum projects with great success. The Award allows existing work to be accredited and encourages participants to try new activities. Many of the young people involved in the Award through the project improve their relationships within the school and attendance levels have increased.
