Kibble Education and Care Centre

We provide education and care for 102 young people in Scotland. The majority of young people have had multiple placement breakdowns, including placements with foster carers and other residential establishments. We ensure that pupils with a variety of backgrounds and with different levels of need are strongly supported in revisiting the learning environment. Thereafter we attempt to build esteem in pupils through focusing on their skills and talents. After assessment of need we create a fully individualised programme of education, including adapted social education initiatives, to progress young people’s skills and abilities. We have maximum class sizes of 4 and a group of 12 classroom support workers, principally appointed to support learning.
