Managing PINS
The Scottish Government Education Department (SEED) has commissioned an administration project to support the activities of the Pupil Inclusion Network.
SEED works closely with a Steering Group made up of representatives of voluntary sector agencies involved in supporting pupils who are disaffected or excluded from school to achieve the shared aims of PINS.
The PINS administration team, based at The TASC Agency, provides day-to-day support and management for the project in relation to information-gathering, events and communication.
The Steering Group and PINS team aim to include colleagues across the voluntary sector whose work supports pupil inclusion. At our network events, and on-line, there are opportunities to comment on and influence the work of PINS.
On behalf of the network the Steering Group will:
- Provide direction and guidance on the role and activities of the Pupil Inclusion Network, and ensure that it represents the interests of the voluntary sector.
- Provide management and guidance to the PINS administration team, and specifically, to agree their work programme and monitor performance.
- Ensure regular monitoring and review of the progress and direction of the network.
The PINS team are:
- Daniel Clapton: PINS Project Development Officer
- Colin Morrison: PINS Project Coordinator
- Bobby Grierson: PINS Project Web/publications designer
