Alcohol vs Drugs: How does parental use affect children?

More attention needs to be given to the 100,000 Scottish children affected by parental alcohol use to match the level of activity, that quite rightly, has been devoted to children affected by parental drug use.   That is the conclusion of the second Think Tank organised by Aberlour Child Care Trust and the Scottish Association of Alcohol and Drug Action Teams.

ProjectScotland

Less than one in 10 young people that complete a ProjectScotland placement fail to find full-time employment. Around 20% of volunteers are classified as not in employment, education or training (NEET) when they begin volunteering with ProjectScotland. More than eight in 10 volunteers who complete placements also report increased confidence, improvements in their ability to take responsibility and improvements in people and relationships skills.
