The Glasgow Rathbone centre is currently delivering the 16 to 19 year olds Get Ready for Work programme, the strands being delivered are Vocational, Personal development, Core Skills and Life Skills. In addition to this we also have a Choices Programme being delivered in four schools.

The Get Ready for Work programme is designed to assist young people with extra support needs mainly between the ages of 16-18. The clients are referred through Careers Scotland and based on their prior achievement and individual support requirements they are placed in the most suitable strand with the appropriate support. The training they receive should show continual progression leading to full time employment or further education.

The Glasgow centre is based in the east end of the city and recruits from a variety of areas. The centre consists of various training areas to suit the Get Ready for Work programme. The areas include an IT suite with computers containing a variety of training programmes and internet access.

Kilmarnock Centre

Rathbone Kilmarnock is a dynamic training centre. We are dedicated to providing quality training, education and support to all our clients.

The Choices programme is an educational and training programme designed for young people 14 – 16 who are experiencing difficulty in mainstream education. This programme is delivered on both a full time and part time basis dependant on the need of the young person. The Choices programme really helps young people re-engage with education in a practical and vocational way.

Many of the young people leave the programme with a clear direction of where they are going, a huge portfolio of certificated courses and a new belief in their self esteem and direction. The Kilmarnock centre is very proud of the Choices programme and knows that it can make a huge difference in a young person’s life.

The Get Ready For Work Programme (GRFW) is for young people age 16 – 18.
