2 Day Training Event: Improving Relationships, Promoting Positive Behaviour
Location: Edinburgh
Dates: Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th April 2010
Times: Day 1: 10am – 4pm | day 2: 10am – 3.30pm
Facilitated by the Scottish Government’s Positive Behaviour Team this event will be of particular interest to voluntary sector practitioners.
The 2 day training event will:
- Showcase particular aspects of the work of the Positive Behaviour Team currently being taken forward in schools across Scotland.
- Provide an overview of Restorative Approaches and Solution Oriented Approaches within an interactive format.
- Provide participants with a range of activities and skills practice which underpin the approaches.
- Present a case study from a voluntary sector agency’s work in this area. This will be facilitated by Richard Hendry SACRO’s National Coordinator: Work with Schools and author of Building and Restoring Respectful Relationships in Schools: A Guide to Restorative Practice (2009)
- Set learning in the context of current priorities within education and children’s services;
