logoThe Action Group is a voluntary organisation that has developed a range of services for people with support needs and learning disabilities - and their carers throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians.

The type of support currently provided is wide ranging and can include access to play or recreation/leisure activities, educational support in school, college and the local and wider community, and supporting young people to move into their own homes. Support is currently provided in Edinburgh and Midlothian but the project is happy to discuss referrals for out-with these areas.

The Action Group provides support through a variety of services including holiday schemes, a sibling service, family support service, one to one service, adventure camps and a family support group.

Tulloch logoThe Tullochan Trust is the largest youth organisation in West Dunbartonshire - working with over 500 young people, aged 8 to 18, each year. Tullochan projects offer a wide range of activities that are themed to tackle personal development, healthy living, life skills, employability, early intervention and informal education. Activities include sport; arts & crafts; music & drama; outdoor education; IT and literacy; homework clubs and youth action groups. These enable young people to learn skills, have unique experiences, and develop as individuals over the years they spend with the Trust.

The Trust works in partnership with the community, schools and other statutory and voluntary agencies. The aim of the Trust is to encourage positive behaviour and constructive attitudes in young people - helping to create safer, stronger communities.

The Tullochan Trust aims to:

  • Promote the advancement, education and general character of young people.
  • Encourage young people to develop their full potential
  • Provide positive influences and experiences
  • Foster virtues of loyalty, self-discipline and a sense of pride and achievement.
  • To help develop qualities of leadership, teamwork and active citizenship in the community
  • To provide life skills to help young people progress towards employment, training and / or further education
