Wester Hailes Youth Agency provides quality community based services for young people aged 8-25 living in West Edinburgh. The agency endeavours to offer opportunities that are both challenging and enriching and which serve to make a positive contribution to the lives of young people.

Wiston Lodge’s primary target group are disadvantaged, marginalised, disaffected, young people between the ages of 12 to 24 years from any organisation concerned in the personal and social development of young people. Wiston Lodge concentrate on utilising different learning environments for aspects of team building, confidence raising, self esteem and motivation; Staff are very experienced, trained in aspects of cognitive behaviour and hold Adventure Activities Licensing Authority Licence (AALA) to work with young people under the age of sixteen. Wiston Lodge can offer alternatives to traditional education by means of vocational qualifications including First Aid and John Muir Award Training. This may lead to SQA qualifications and is designed to assist in work readiness or further education.
Wiston Lodge Mission Statement: Providing physical, mental and spiritual challenge in a safe and sheltered residential environment for all users, but especially young people who are vulnerable and at risk; to enable the development of respect for oneself, others and for the environment and to encourage lifestyles which are simple, non-violent and free from destructive dependencies.
